VIDEO OF HOW DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY IS CELEBRATED IN MEXICO

Mexicans celebrate the feast of Divine Mercy 2021 with great pomp

The Divine Mercy feast Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of Easter. The Divine Mercy is literally referred to as that grace of forgiveness and or compassion in which we receive from God.

The Divine Mercy Sunday was instituted in the Year 1935, on Sunday, April 28. This day was also the second Sunday of Easter.

In the Divine Mercy, we are called to extend that mercy which we receive to our neighbours who needs it. Since we have been shown mercy, it it our duty to show mercy too.

In Mexico, in gratitude to God for His great mercy, the feast is celebrated with dancing and singing. The Mexicans chose to appreciate God for His mercy towards mankind. Our God, abounds in mercy, despite our inadequacies. We then should in appreciation show mercy in all ramifications of life.
