THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY
The Blessed Virgin Mary is our mother and the mother of our Saviour, Jesus Christ. She is also the daughter of God the Father and the Spouse of God the Holy Spirit.
In the Litany of Loreto, which is also referred to as the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Blessed Virgin Mary is invoked under so many titles: as a mother, as a Queen, as a Virgin.
As the "Hail Holy Queen" suggest, we hail the Blessed Virgin Mary as a Queen, mother of mercy, we regard her as our life, our sweetness and our hope. We the poor banished children of Eve, cry to her, send our sighs, our mourning and weeping to her, in this Valley of tears.
The Queen of Heaven and Earth grants us all we request. Our spiritual mother - Mary, mother of God grants, by the power of the Holy Spirit brought the "Word made Flesh" to our World and our lives. The cause of our joy, Mary is a figure we can have as a mother to nurture us when we are suffering, and join us in jubilation. She is the one we can direct our tears, our sighs and joys to. She listens to all voices, all Races, all Clans, all localities. She loves each and every one of us and listens to our pleas at all time. She visits those who are sick, whether bodily, or in mind, or even sick spiritually and help them return to God in a contrite spirit, such people can count their blessings explicitly.
"Holy Mary, help those in need, give strength to the weak, comfort the sorrowful, pray for God's people, assist the Clergy, intercede for the Religious..."
Those who strongly believe in the mother of God have been given great blessings. Mary most pure have conveyed great blessings from her Son, to faithfuls who are strong. In some of her Apparitions, like Lourdes, Fatima, Akita, Medjugorje(not officially endorsed by the Church). Our Lady specifically appeared to these people, requesting they spread the Good News and gave them graces to overcome temptations. Our Mother is always there for us when we feel unworthy of the love and forgiveness of Jesus. No wonder the Church ask her to "pray for us O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ." The Mystical Rose is a true mother, fending for us, when we have no one to run to.
"Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your Womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us Sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen."
The vessel of honour is the mediatrix of all graces. She always direct our paths to her Son, Jesus Christ, assuring us of His blessings. No wonder she taught the three little seers of Fatima to pray: "O my Jesus, forgive us our Sins, save us from the fire of Hell, lead all souls to Heaven, especially those who are in most need of your mercy." The Queen of all Saints, protects like every mother does. She help us conquer at the hour of temptation, by giving us the graces to avoid them.
The Blessed Virgin Mary gave us the most precious gift of all time - Jesus Christ, who redeemed us and made us Heirs of God's Kingdom.
The Blessed Virgin Mary is never known to fail. She loves us wholeheartedly.
"Turn then, most gracious advocate. Your eyes of mercy towards us, and after this our exile, show unto us the Blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus.
O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary."
