NOVENA FOR THE SOULS IN PURGATORY

Ninth Day - November 1

Meditation

The fires of Purgatory, the darkness, the pain the Souls in there felt are nothing compared to being deprived of the loving presence of God.

All Souls that break free of Purgatory are welcomed into Heaven, where they always long to be. Only then will they know what they have been missing in the presence of God.

Let us pray today that God would aid the Souls in Purgatory, and help them to have a taste of what the His Kingdom looks like. 

Let us pray...

Almighty and most merciful Father, we the Church Militant pray for the Church Suffering in Purgatory. Because You are all merciful, You created the fires of Purgatory to chastise and cleanse those who are unclean, since no eye can see You without holiness. Drive our minds towards doing Your will always, so that we too and our suffering members in Purgatory may see You as You are.

O Holy Souls in Purgatory, our hearts are restless, until they rest in God. So keep us close to God in your prayers, when you reach Him, so that we may join You in eternity to chant that unending hymn of praise "Holy, Holy, Holy."

This is our prayers, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
