Month dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows

The Feast day of Our Lady of Sorrows, which is also referred to as Mother of Sorrows(Mater Dolorosa in Latin) is celebrated on September 15, a day after the celebration of the exaltation of the Holy Cross.

The Catholic Church in her wisdom dedicates the month of September to Our Lady of Sorrows because being the mother of God, she leads all the choir of Angels and Saints in Heaven, so the honour which was accorded her by God must be duly given to her.
